well said wes (and Spirit!)

It is impossible for anyone who is not black, to understand, because we are all racist in our white world. We absorb it, we are not purposely taught it, the world we grew up in, the conversations we hear at home, in school, at work, are condescending, about anyone not the same skin color as we. We can never understand this unless we could change our skin color and live for a year that way.
